The questions behind a replacement decision

Make space for priorities, constraints, and a written scope before choosing a system.

Begin with the brief

A replacement conversation involves more than choosing a model. Describe your priorities, the spaces you use, and any constraints that matter to you. A useful proposal should connect its recommendations to those details.

Ask what is included

Request a written scope that explains equipment, associated work, scheduling assumptions, and exclusions. If two proposals differ, ask the providers to explain the difference before trying to compare totals.

Keep the unknowns visible

A design website cannot evaluate your home or promise a result. This fictional example is a framework for organizing a conversation with a real provider, not technical advice or a purchase recommendation.
